Caught by the River will be setting up shop at Hebden Bridge Trades Club for a weekend in January 2016.

The event will take place in association with The Quietus and First Chop Brewing Arm and will include music from the likes of Gwenno, Lonelady, Field Music and Meilyr Jones, talks and poetry from Jon Savage, Will Burns, Amy Liptrot and Nina Lyon and much more.

On the Saturday night there will be a very special co-headline show with Gwenno and Lonelady, before DJ sets from Chris Watson and the Heavenly Jukebox.

Tickets for the Gwenno/Lonelady event are available here.

A limited number of Weekend tickets allowing entry to all events are available here, or you can view the individual event breakdowns and buy tickets for each on the Caught by the River website.

Earlier this year Heavenly released ‘Y Dydd Olaf‘, the debut album from Gwenno.

“Y Dydd Olaf is at once spooky and playful, romantic and angry… Mixing an ancient, bucolic language with otherworldly dance music is a genius move.” – MOJO ★★★★

“The tunes are gorgeous throughout. Saunders sounds like a more mellifluous Trish Keenan on the Broadcast-cum-Stereolab stomp of ‘Patriarchaeth’ and the dreamy title track, while the decaying, blissed-out coda to ‘Sisial Y Mor’ disguises some ominous portents. Dystopia has never sounded so alluring.” – Loud & Quiet – 9/10

“Her solo debut channels Broadcast and Boards Of Canada via fragrant kosmische grooves as she sings a socialist manifesto inspired, in part, by Welsh writer Owain Owain’s ’70s dystopian novel, Y Dydd Olaf… Seldom is the personal married to the political in such an enchanting fashion.” – Uncut – 8/10

Purchase ‘Y Dydd Olaf’ here.
