We’ve been loving this cosmic country new age LP by Nashville Ambient Ensemble on Bandcamp. Led by Michael Hix, the group features many great musicians of the “New Weird South,” including Luke Schneider (Third Man Records) on pedal steel guitar.
Thankfully, it is now possible to get your hands on a physical copy of the album without paying expensive shipping costs from the US. Stranger Than Paradise Records (who switched us on to Luke Schneider’s work last year) have copies available here. Other independent record shops around the UK – many of which are now open for browsing – will soon be stocking it too.
